DRIVER'S SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT,
Description
Reluctantly offered for sale is my own personal car, in the shape of this 1972 Triumph Stag which is affectionaltely known as 'Jolene' owing to her JOL registration number. Whilst it's not necessarily one for the purists, having been lightly modified away from standard specification, I have really enjoyed owing this. Registered on 1st August 1972 on the then-new 'L' suffix, it's a late Mark.1 Stag meaning that it doesn't have the side stripes and it has the early clocks in the dash. It's been resprayed, before I got it, in a 90's Jaguar red metallic (possibly Flamenco red) and has a retrimmed cream leather interior - a colour combination that works well in my opinion. It's powered by the proper Triumph V8 engine (I've had three Stags over the years, and this is the only one I've had with the Triumph engine) with a manual-overdrive gearbox. There is plenty of history with the car, and the engine was rebuilt ten years ago at around 84,000 miles. I have also recently replaced the water pump, because it was weeping slightly. I've fitted the 6x15 minilite-replica wheels, and the Yokohama tyres have done around 3,000 miles. The exhaust has been modified so that it exits into twin pipes on both sides of the car, rather than just the usual two on the nearside. It gives a really nice burble at low speeds, and is sufficiently quiet on the move. Inside, the wooden trims have been restored and now have a burr walnut finish. Owing to its age, and Historic Vehicle taxation class, the car
