2001 Subaru Impreza P1 number 1021. The car has been completely stripped and restored, all of the suspension has been removed blasted and powder coated. All of the brake calipers sent away to be completely reconditioned at the cost of over £1000, new discs, new battery, wheel bearings, new water pump, new cam belt, including all the belt rollers gaskets and complete clutch. New coolant radiator and hoses, new air-conditioning radiator. Brand-new Toyo tyres all round. Wheels have been completely reconditioned and finished in the correct original colour, Various other lights and parts replaced. The numbering system of the limited edition cars was carefully considered by Subaru, as in Japanese culture, certain numbers are regarded as unlucky. Specifically, the number 4 sounds like ""shi,"meaning death, and 9 sounds like ""ku,"meaning suffering. To avoid any negative connotations, Subaru deliberately chose not to assign edition numbers ending in these digits. As a result, the number 1021 was selected, ensuring the vehicle would carry no unfortunate associations, and signifies it is one of the latter of the edition of 1000.
