The BMW Z3 took advantage of the 1990s trend for retro styling in a fun, fashionable way that appeals equally to men and women. The boot is a pretty good size – enough for a weekend away, and there is additional storage space behind the seats with the roof up. It feels like you sit on, rather than in, the Z3 and the steering wheel is instead on the big side for this sort of car. The seats are supportive, and most people can get comfortable. Wind noise is not an issue hood up. It is only a two-seater, but the passenger gets adequate space. It feels pretty cosy with the roof up and very blustery with it down if the rear wind deflector is not fitted. There's very little road noise. Retro styling is distinctive. Feels genuinely minimalist and sporting. Comfort is better than you'd expect.
